About the evening
The Time to Get It Right Gala is an evening dedicated to honouring the strength, leadership, knowledge, and enduring contributions of Indigenous matriarchs across Canada.
For generations, Indigenous women, grandmothers, aunties, Knowledge Keepers, and community leaders have carried teachings, cared for families and communities, protected culture and language, and helped shape the path forward for future generations. This gala creates space to recognize and celebrate that leadership.
Bringing together community members, leaders, partners, and supporters, the evening will feature opportunities for connection, reflection, celebration, and the sharing of stories that honour the vital role of Indigenous matriarchs.
More than a formal gathering, the gala is a celebration of resilience, wisdom, community, and Indigenous women’s leadership.

Community Access Passes
We want our Conference and Gala to be accessible to the community. Elders and community members who may experience cost as a barrier are welcome to inquire about complimentary admission passes.
To request a community access pass, please contact events@mamawi.com and let us know whether you are interested in attending the Conference, the Gala, or both.
Complimentary passes are limited and provided based on availability. All inquiries will be treated respectfully and confidentially.
